The most commonly held licence in Queensland is a general \u2018Firearms Licence\u2019 (Cat A & B) .
Which is suitable for the needs of farmers, sports and target shooters including paintball guns.

No<\/i><\/u><\/b><\/span>:- You will need:<\/span><\/p>

  • A letter from a paintball club official, stating that you have permission to play paintball.
    As you are changing your Conditions, this impacts on your Genuine Reason.<\/li>
  • Complete a Form 4B – Change of Weapons Category and\/or Change of Condition(s) of Licence<\/li>
  • On the Form 4B, Tick the box, Change of Conditions and fill in the required details.<\/li>
  • Lodge the Form 4B together with the permission letter from the paintball field, at a Queensland Police Station.<\/li><\/ul>

    If approved you will get a updated firearms licence, with a PB1 condition added to it.
    You can now proceed to apply for your PTA.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    To apply for a weapons licence in Queensland you need to:
    1. Meet the personal eligibility requirements.
    2. Completed an approved weapons safety course and ensure
    it applies to the weapon categories to be endorsed on your licence.
    3. Have a genuine reason to hold a licence.
    4. Have access to secure storage facilities.
    5. Be able to pay the required fees.
